The Aga Khan University Since 2003, Aga Khan University – Examination Board (AKU-EB) has played a unique and important role in improving teaching and learning at middle and secondary schools in Pakistan. As Pakistan’s first private examination board, AKU-EB develops exams, based on Pakistan’s national curriculum that reward critical thinking and problem solving. The Board also works closely with schools to provide training, learning materials and appropriate syllabi that help teachers to move away from rote instructional methods and develop students’ analytical skills.
“Specialists in Teacher Development” (Science & Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences):
– The appointees will be responsible for developing high quality training and teaching materials based on identified needs, and conducting training sessions for their respective discipline as part of the teacher development team.
– Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Humanities, or Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in one of these fields or Education with teaching experience. Further experience as a teacher trainer, preferably with adult learners, would be advantageous.
