VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Support to Good Governance Programme

‘As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fUr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.’

GIZ implements the Support to Good Governance Programme on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), which is seeking candidates for the following positions for its office in Peshawar;

Job Title: Advisor Local Government System (Reference No. SGGP 2015/023)

Qualifications and Experience:

•    University degree in a topic related course (e.g. public administration, political science, law)

•    Minimally 10 years of professional working experience

•    Significant knowledge and experience of the political and administrative system in Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

•    Strong knowledge on functional assignments, political, administrative and fiscal intergovernmental relations, functions between tiers of government, rules (of business) and regulations, flow of funds, rules of oversight

•    Very good speaking and writing skills in English and Urdu

Job Title: Advisor Municipal Services (Reference No. SGGP 2015/024)

Qualifications and Experience:

•    University degree in a topic related course (e.g. public administration)

•    Minimally 5 years of professional working experience

•    Significant knowledge and experience of municipal services, local revenue generation, state-society dialogue, and the local government and administrative system in Pakistan, especially

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

•    Very good speaking and writing skills in English and Urdu
Job Title: Advisor Financial Management and Budgeting (Reference No. SGGP 2015/025)
Qualifications and Experience:

•    University degree in a topic related course (e.g. urban planning, public administration)

•    Minimally 5 years of professional working experience

•    Significant knowledge and experience of participatory planning and budgeting, urban planning, planning cycle and legal framework, functions between tiers of government, political involvement, and the political and administrative system in Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

•    Very good speaking and writing skills in English and Urdu
