Applications invited for the post of District Teacher Educators (DTEs)

Directorate of Staff Development has developed a Continuous Professional Development Programme for tra-ning and professional development of Public School Teachers In the Province of Punjab. For implementation of the Programme. Cluster Training & Support Centres (CTSCs) have been established In each district with one or more District Teacher Educators (DTEs) at each centre The DTEs would be responsible for training, mentoring, professional development of Teachers and whole school improvement of the school attached with the clusters.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates from amongst the SSTs. ESTs/PSTs, who are regular employees of the Education Department. Government of the Punjao for placement as District Teacher Educator, through transfer at the CTSCs already notified by Education Department in the following districts

Every DTE will be appointed at a specified duster centro on the basis of ment and his/her wiHmgness For femalo schools/clusters, preference

would be given to female candidates.

The post of DTE »s duster specific and is non-transferable

Maximum duration for the post of DTE is three years, which may be extended by DSD on satisfactory performance and no study leave will be al-! during this tenure. DSD. however, can repatriate a DTE to his/her parent department at any time on administrative grounds, atails of cluster centres can be obtained from the office of EDO (Education). Job Description

DTE will be responsible for. Training, coordination & mentormg of Teachers 2. Whole school improvement in the schools attached with his/her duster centre 3 Any other duty assigned

by DSD. Job entails regular visits to the schools attached with a cluster.

Head Teachers. Head Designates. Physical Education Teachers (PETs), Arabic Teachers (ATs). Computer Teachers end Drawing Masters (DMs) are not eligible to apply for these posts

Initial short listing shaH be made on the basis of NTS Test however final selection shall be made on the basis of candidate s academic qualification .and interview

Test Fee of Rs 600/- can be deposited in any branch of UBL, MCB. or ABL on prescribed bank chattan (can be downloaded from NTS website), Forms duly filled along with the bank challan (original slip) will be sent to NTS head office Islamabad Incomplete form wifl not be entertained Applications can be submitted by 15-11-2011.

Provisional candidates list will be available on NTS website within 5 days after the deadline

Candidate may request for correction of his/her name, particulars through NTS website within 7 days after the display of provisional candidates list

Only short listed candidates shall be called for an interview

Candidates shal present onginal documents, along with the set of attested photocopies of ail relevant documents at the time of interview. No TA/DA shall be paid for test / interview

DSD reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment process at any stage
