The International Rescue Committee, Inc. (IRC) is a private international, nonsectarian, voluntary organization providing relief, protection and resettlement services for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict. IRC under its USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) is currently seeking highly experienced professionals to fill the Director Human Resources position based in Islamabad.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Chief of Party, the Director Human Resources provides leadership and management of Human Resources for Pakistan Reading Project. The Director Human Resources will oversee all human resources activities to intensify and strengthen human resources for a healthy and productive workforce to achieve the project goals. The Director will establish, refine, align and implement HR programs and initiatives that foster organizational and people development. The Director will have a track record for leading Human Resources implementation, providing human resources strengthening, and building relationships with organizations, i.e.. Health Insurance Organizations, and demonstrated proficiency in English and one Mother Tongue Language. The Director will be passionate for making a difference in the reading culture for children in Grades One and two. The Director will travel to the regions and internationally up to 20% of time.
