APPOINTMENT OF JUDICIAL OFFICERS
Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals (both male & female) on the prescribed Application Form(s) for the following temporary posts on adhoc basis for initial period of six month pending selection for suitable candidate by the High Court in the Islamabad Judicial Service:-
Note:- Three percent seats shall be reserved across the board for women to the posts in the service by direct recruitment subject to suitability and if sufficient number of women candidates iS not available then the reservation shall not have any operation to the extent of non-availability and there shaU also be no carry toward for reservation in respect of quota as mentioned above.
ELIGIBILITY:- Eligibility of the candidates shall be determined in terms qf Recruitment rules and the advertisement conditions. On scrutiny of the applications if any of candidates is found ineligible, his candidature will be cancelled irrespective of the fact whether he has appeared in the interview or even qualified therein. AGE LIMIT:- 21 to 30 years for Civil Judge-cum-Magistrate and in case of government servants who have served in connection with the affairs of the Federation or Provincial Government, or an officer serving in the legal department of statutory organization, for a period of not less than three years, the upper age limit shall be thirty five years and in case of Additional District & Sessions Judge, the candidate shall years Of mofe than 45 years. Age shall be reckoned as on the last date fixed for submission of application. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:- (i) Candidate must be possessing a degree in law from a recognized university and actively practicing the profession of law for not less than two years (for the post of Civil Judge-cum-Magistrate and 10 years for Additional District and Sessions Judge) after having been enrolled as an advocate or any person working as District Attorney. Deputy District Attorney or an Assistant District Attorney or full time prosecutor authorized to conduct prosecution on behalf of the Government or employee of Superior Courts, (ii) To prove active practice, the candidate shall declare by a duly sworn affidavit that he has been actively practicing the profession of taw dunng the period of two years or ten years as the case may be, preceding the date of advertisement and during this period had not engaged himself in any other whole time service, business or occupation for gain, as the case may be.
CHARACTER CERTIFICATE:- Candidate shall produce a character certificate from the District Judge of the concerned District in which he has been practicing, and in case of candidate normally practicing in High Court, from the Registrar of the concerned High Court, and in other cases, from the head of the department or the organization and produces certificates from two other respectable persons of status, not being his relatives, who are well acquainted with his private life, characterand antecedents.
