Open Mid-Management Positions

Karandaaz Pakistan is a newly established private sector organization focused on promoting job creation and financial inclusion. Karandaaz hasthree primary workstreams:CorporateInvestmentandCredit(CIC),Digital Financial Services(DFS)and Knowledge Management & Communications (KM&C).The CIC unit focuses on commercial debt and equity financing that supports the growth and expansion of small and growing businesses. DFS focuses on developing an ecosystem for scaling up digital financial services nationally. KM&C leverages the creation and use of relevant knowledge with the aim of developing solutions and communicating them in ways that influence market change. Karandaaz Pakistan is funded by UKAid (Department for International Development) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) is involved in setting up and initially managing the company. Karandaaz Pakistan is about to launch its operations.

Karandaaz Pakistan invites applications from qualified individuals for the following

mid-management positions based in Islamabad
1: ANALYST, CORPORATE INVESTMENT AND CREDIT

The incumbent will assist the Director CIC in financial valuations, credit and business analysis, industry research and preparing portfolio performance reports.

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline, with 1-3 years experience in financial valuation, business analysis and credit analysis.

2: ASSOCIATE, DIGITAL FINANCIAL SERVICES

The incumbent will support a muIti-faceted approach to achieving universal digital financial inclusion for the under-banked and unbanked of Pakistan. The key responsibility areas include: providing support on research related to digital finance, identifying interventions that leverage digital payment systems and supporting financial inclusion innovation programs.

The candidate should possess a BBA/MBAor BS/MS Economics degree with 5-8 years experience in digital financial services work with banks, mobile network operators, payment companies etc. Experience in related policy or regulation work will be an added advantage.

3: ANALYST, DIGITAL FINANCIAL SERVICES

The incumbent will assist the Director DFS in conducting research and in gathering and analyzing data related to digital markets and financial inclusion services in Pakistan and at a global level.

The candidate should possess a BBA/MBA or BS/MS Economics degree with 1-3 years experience in digital financial services work with banks, mobile network operators, payment companies etc. Experience in related policy or regulation work will be an added advantage.

4: ASSOCIATE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the KM&C team in developing and executing strategies related to branding and marketing, assisting in research for line departments, carrying out impact assessments of partner organizations and developing reports for donor agencies.

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Business, Marketing or related discipline, with 5-8 years experience in research and marketing, having an

understanding of research, data analysis and strong STATA and/or SPSS skills. Experience of working with international donor agencies will be an added advantage.

5: ANALYST KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the KM&C team in developing and executing strategies related to communications, assisting in research and carrying out impact assessments of partner organizations, and developing reports for donor agencies.

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Business, Marketing or related discipline, with 1 -3 years experience in research and marketing. Experience of working with international donor agencies will be an added advantage.

6: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

The incumbent is responsible for developing budgets, keeping track of financial indicators for reporting, generating monthly financial analysis and providing expert advice on investment proposal to line departments. On the accounting side the incumbent is expected to maintain books of accounts, oversee monthly closing, manage audit queries and file tax returns.

The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or related discipline, with 6-8 years experience in the field of finance and accounts. Exposure to donor agencies reporting and audit review will be an added advantage.

7: OFFICE MANAGER/ADMIN OFFICER

The incumbent is responsible for managing the administration and procurement function, overseeing overall administrative/operational duties of the organization as well as dealing with vendors for procurement of quality equipment, goods and services for the company at the best available prices.

The candidate should possess a BBA/MBA with 5-8 years experience in the field of Administration and Procurement.
