SINDH AGRICULTURE GROWTH PROCUREMENT OF SERVICES OF TECHNICAL STAFF AGRICULTURE RESEARCH SINDH (COMPONENT)
The Government of Sindh has received a credit from the International Development Association and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for Sindh Agricultural Growth Project to perform the sen/ices of Incremental Staff for Chilli Research Laboratory at Kunari.
Competent Technical staffs are required for the following positions in Investment for Agriculture Growth based in Kunari Project basis.

Prepare test solutions, compounds, and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct test. Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions, utilizing chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometer techniques.
Develop, improve, and customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, and analytical methods. Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions.
Confer with scientists to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, or develop non standard tests.
Direct, coordinate, and advise personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials.
induce changes in composition of substances by introducing heat, light, energy, and chemical catalysts for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Write technical papers and reports; and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.
Study effects of various methods of processing, preserving, and packaging on composition and properties of foods. Master s Degree in Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry At least five years experience in relevant field.
Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses ot solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experiential, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences. Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses. Make demand plan and inventory materials to maintain supplies.
Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, or teams and by conducting laboratory safety audits.
Conduct chemical or physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative or quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, or gaseous materials. Getting Information – Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Documenting/Recording Information – Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/maanetic form.
Analyzing Data or Information – Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance witn Standards – Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. Intermediate Pass
At least five years experience in relevant field.
• Performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations;
Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses; Preparing specimens and samples;
Constructing, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment, for example centrifuges, titrators, pipetting machines and pH meters; Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced; Recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues; Using computers and performing mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs; Keeping up to date with technical development, especially those which can save time and improve reliability;
Conducting searches on identified topics relevant to the research; Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks. Matric or Middle Pass Experience of lab work preferred.
Keeping the lab clean and in order, serving scientists in their work of project activities. Any other responsibility assigned by project authorities.

The appointment is on contract for a period of five years or till completion of the project on year to year basis. Applicant should hold Sindh domicile.
Applicant should have minimum 2nd Division in all degrees. The terms and conditions will be set forth in the offer letter.
No TA/DA is admissible for interview / test / joining.
