Applications are invited for the following posts in project management Unit (PMU) in Transport and Mass Transit Sector, Government of Sindh, Karachi.

Qualification:

B.E. (Civil) preferably Master’s degree in Civil Engineering / Transportation / Urban Infrastructure Engineering. MBA from a recognized university/ institute will be an added advantage. Experience:

At least 10 years verifiable relevant experience in Transport, Mass Transit Projects & Infrastructure Projects, proven track record of road / bridge design projects, working knowledge of construction supervision, contracts, good presentation skills, knowledge of project management Tools & Techniques such as Primavera, MS Project will be added advantage. Working experience with International Donor Agencies Project shall be highly appreciated. Age Limit:

Not exceeding 50 years with sound health.
The Shall be the job responsibilities:

•    Coordination with Design consultants, Supervision Consultants, Contractors & Investors etc.

•    Preparing & Presenting projects at various Governmental Levels. Facilitation in tendering process

•    Review of Infrastructure design including Bus Ways, Stations, Flyovers, Interchange etc.

•    Review of BOQ’s & Engineers estimates.

•    Review & Negotiations of construction contracts.

•    Verification of bills & payments.

•    Project management & Minimization of cost and time over runs.

•    Project quality assurance / control.
Deputy Project

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Finance and Accounting / MBA from reputable University / Institute / Qualifies ACCA/ Part Qualified CA/ CFA Level II. Experience:

At least 5 years verifiable and relevant experience in corporate finance / Investment Banks, economic & Sector research, capital structuring and issuance of debt instruments. Experience pertaining to Transport Sector coverage/research / projects will be an added advantage. Age Limit:

Not Exceeding to 45 years with sound health.
The shall be the job responsibilities:

•    Advise senior management on establishing budget, cost control contract management system.

•    Manage Financial activities related to execution of Development works of the project.

•    Develop and Maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports of Project activities.

•    Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Manager Finance

Qualification:

B.E. / B.S. (Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering) preferable with a Master’s degree from recognized University/ Institute or equivalent Degree or proven work experience in ITS Projects. Very strong communication & Presentation skills. Working experience with International Donor Agencies Project shall be highly appreciated. Experience:

At least 8 years or above of successful, verifiable and relevant experience in System Design & Automation, &/or Intelligent Transport System (ITS). Age Limit:

Not Exceeding to 45 years with sound health.
The Shall be the job responsibilities: Coordination with designed & supervision consultants, vendors / suppliers etc.

Preparing & Presenting projects at various Government Levels. Developing System Requirements. Safeguarding governmental interest especially from proprietary products & protocols, sharing of knowledge & Information etc. Facilitation in Tendering Process. Review of ITS design. Preparing, implementing & administering Service Level Agreement (SLAs) with vendors/ Suppliers.

Review of BOQs & Engineering estimates for ITS. Negotiations vendors / suppliers. Developing & Administering Acceptance Test Parameters (ATPs) for supplies equipment. Verification of bills & Payments. Project Management & Minimization of cost and Time over runs. Project quality assurance / control.
Manager ITS

Qualification:

B.E . /B.Sc. (Computer Science / IT / Networking) from recognized University/ Institute or equivalent. Strong communication skills. Experience:

At least 05 years or above of successful, verifiable and relevant experience especially in implementing Networking, IT Administration and ERP at organizational Levels, Working IT Department of Multinational Organization or with International Donor Agency in similar capacity shall be an added advantage.

Age Limit: Not exceeding to 45 years with sound health.
The shall be the job responsibilities: Establishing IT Requirement needed for PMU office. Implementing networking, Servers and other works needed to implement a successful paper less & Transparent environment. Developing RFP for procurement of IT equipment. Administering Procurement process for IT equipment. Coordinating with suppliers / vendors.

Looking after and safeguarding interest of GoS for IT implementation at PMU.
Assistant Manager IT

Qualification:

Bachlors in Civil Engineering / Urban Engineering or Relevant Engineering Discipline. Experience:

At least 5 years or above in execution of roads, bridges, building projects and experience in installation of signals will be an added advantage. Age Limit: Not Exceeding to 45 years with sound health,
The Shall be the job responsibilities: Assisting Deputy Director (Infrastructure) in all his tasks. Coordination with Design Consultants, Supervision consultants. Contractors etc. Review of infrastructure design including Bus ways, Stations, flyovers, Interchanges etc. Review of BOQs & Engineers estimates.

Project Quality assurance / control.
Project Engineer

Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Finance and Accounting / MBA from reputable University / Institute. Experience:

At Least 10 years verifiable experience in preparation of project accounts Statement, showing head wise expenditure, release, and projects. Reasonable knowledge of AGPR accounting and auditing protocols is expected.

Age Limit: Not exceeding to 35 years with sound health.
Admin/Accounts Officer

Qualification:

Diploma in Relevant Discipline having sound working knowledge of AutoCAD, Good command of MS Office, Strong Communication skills. Experience:

At least 5 years of experience. Age Limit: 35 years.
The Shall be the job responsibilities:

•    Assisting project engineer in his work.

•    Developing and Checking Engineering Drawings.

•    Preparing Documents instructed by Project Engineer or Any other office bearer.
Computer Operator /CAD Operator

Qualification:

Bachelor in any discipline (BA/BSC/B.com) Good command of MS Office.

Strong communication skills. Experience:

Qualification:
