ON LINE APPLICATIONS are invited, on prescribed form, from the eligible candidates domiciled in Punjab, possessing the following qualifications as prescribed in the Punjab Judicial Service Rules, 1994 and in the light of verdict of Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan cited as PLD 2012 SC-649, for appointment against SIX HUNDRED AND NINETY SIX (696) permanent posts (2% reserved disabled quota) of Civil Judgescum-Magistrates. (Candidates are also required to submit Hard Copy of application forms as per instructions mentioned at’the end of this advertisement):-Qualification:-

i. He/she possesses a degree in Law from a recognized university entitling him to practice the profession of law or is a Member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland;

it He/she has actively practiced the profession of law for not less than 02 years of after having enrolled as an advocate;

Explanation:’ For the purposes of this clause :-

(i)    The expression ‘practiced the profession of law’ shall include any period of Government service by a person as-

(a)    District Attorney, a Deputy District Attorney or an Assistant District Attorney; or

(b)    full time prosecutor authorized ‘to conduct prosecution on behalf of the Government; and

(ii)    to prove active practice the candidate shall declare by an affidavit that –

(a)    He/she had been actively practicing the profession of law during the two years preceding the date of advertisement; and

(b)    during this period He/she had not engaged himself/herself in any other whole time service, business or, as the case may be, occupation for gain.

AGE: Not less than 22 years and not more than 35 years on 14.02.2015. (Closing date). No age relaxation shall be permitted.

Pay:- Bs-17 plus admissible allowances Syllabus:- The candidate will have to appear in an Objective Type MCQs Test (100 Marks) on 08.03.2015 (Sunday) comprising of the following subjects:-

Candidates securing 50% or above marks will be called for subjective test on 29.03.2015 (Sunday) comprising of the following syllabus in two sessions:-

•    Enrolment certificate as an advocate of Lower Courts.

•    Enrolment certificate as an advocate of High Court.

•    Character certificate from President District Bar Association.

•    Appointment Certificate in case of Government Employee

•    Five latest passport size photographs attested (one on the front and four on back side) by a Government officer of BS-17 or above who should give his/her full name and designation and affix his/her official stamp and signatures. The said photographs shall be submitted in a small sized envelope.

•    Experience Certificate if applicable in case of Public Pleaders, Attorneys and Prosecutors or any other eligible Government Employee issued by the competent authority.

Incomplete applications will be rejected summarily. Applications received after due date shall also be rejected. No deficiency shall be permitted to be removed after last date for submission of application forms. Enrollment & Membership of Lower Court Bar Association or High Court Bar Association is compulsory under Punjab Judicial Service Rules. 1994.
Important Notes:

(a) No candidate shall be summoned for viva voce test unless He/she has obtained at least 45% marks in each individual paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of the examination. No candidate shall be considered to have qualified for appointment unless He/she also obtains at least 50% marks in Viva Voce. Failure or absence in Viva Voce shall mean that the candidate has failed to qualify for appointment and his name will not be included in the merit list.

The date sheet and place of the examination will be intimated to eligible candidates through admission letters, SMS or email or press. The High Court reserves its right to increase or decrease the number of posts or not to fill any post or to frame any kind of policy in the light of prevelant rules and regulations, (d) Merely submission of application form, appearance in written examination and Viva Voce would not confer any right of appointment. In case of any adverse material against any candidate or concealment of facts is discovered by any candidate, at any stage (even after appointment) the High Court reserves its right to cancel the candidature/appointment (as the case may be).

Punlab in PLS Account No. 0617-79003076-01 of Habib Bank Limited. Opposite Lahore High Court, The Mall Road Branch* Lahore and fill in online prescribed application form After taking printout, the candidates are required to forward application form to this Court along with attested copies of the requisite documents and the original deposit slip.

Following instructions must strictly be adhered to:

i. The online application form and Print out/hard copy of the same together with duly attested copies of all requisite documents must reach to office of the Registrar, Lahore High Court, Lahore by-hand or by mail on or before 04:00 pm 14.02.2015(Saturdau). where-after no online submission shall be accepted. No additional time shall be allowed for postal transit.

ii Any false information or misstatement made in any document shall entail rejection of the application form and candidature forthwith or at any stage, even after appointment.

hi. The attested copies of the following documents must be attached with the hard copy of the application form:-

•    All Educational Certificates such as Matric/Inter/B.A/LL.B. and any additional qualification such as M.A. LL.M. etc.

•    Domicile certificate of the applicant.

•    National Identity Card.

•    Two years’ experience certificate as an advocate duly countersigned by the President District Bar Association and District and Sessions Judge, stating the date when the candidate acquired the membership of a Bar Association.

vi Ex-judicial officers who were dismissed/ removed from service or resigned in order to avoid penalty under Efficiency & Discipline Rules are not eligible to apply, vii. Prosecutors, Legal Advisors, Public Pleaders, Attorneys and such others shall apply through proper channel.
