Irrigation Department invites applications from suitable candidates who possess qualification mentioned against each post for the following positions:-

1.    Chief Monitoring (1 Post for Head Office PMIU, Lahore) (Age limit 45-55 years)

Pay Rs. 110122/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-20 + project allowance of Rs. 80,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer) • M.Sc Irrigation Engineering or Hydraulics Engineering or Water Resources Engineering or Water Resources Management & B.Sc. Civil Engineering. Should have experience of more than 20 years of Irrigation Network Operation Management. Should have in depth knowledge of Discharge Observation, Discharge tables and Calibration techniques for surface flow channels and rivers. Should have in-depth knowledge of Irrigation Management Information System (IMIS) and Decision Support Systems. Should be well organized with latest management & monitoring techniques of canal flows. Should have knowledge of latest monitoring and management tools like remote sensing and GIS. Should be fully conversant with computer hydraulics models. Departmental Officers are also eligible to apply and compete for subject assignment. In case of selection of departmental officer his appointment will be made by transfer. Persons domiciled in Province of the Punjab are eligible to apply.

2.    Senior Water Resources Modeler (1 Post for Head Office, Lahore) (Age limit 40-50 years)

Pay Rs. 160000/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-19 + project allowance of Rs. 80,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer)

•    Master Degree (2nd Division) in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydraulics Engineering/ Engineering Hydrology having BSc Civil Engg. as basic qualification from a recognized University.

•    10 years post BSc Engineering experience in water resources, having knowledge of GIS/IT/hydrological Models etc, knowledge of statistical analyses in hydrology, experience in scripting languages like python, MATLAB, VBA or similar in desirable and good command on hydrological/hydraulic modelling tools like HEC-1, HEC-HMS, MIKE. HEC-RAS or any other etc.

3.    Senior GIS Specialist (1 Post for Head Office, Lahore)(Age limit 40-50 years)

Pay Rs. 160000/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-19 + project allowance of Rs. 80,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer)

•    Master Degree (2nd Division) in GIS Remote Sensing/ Geomatics from a recognized University.

•    10 years experience in application of GIS in water sector projects, experience of ESRI ArcGIS Software (Desktop) and ArcGIS Server, proficient in using ESRI ArcMap, ArcCatalog with 3D Analyst and Spatial Analyst Extensions, experience of handling GIS data layers, attribute data in ArcMap, making spatial queries and analysis on MrcMap, creating GIS reports in MrcMap environment, creating thematic maps from layer symbology and updating satellite imagery from free public doman (Landsat and Google Earth) and experience of management of Web GIS Services, ability to grasp new domain of business, Windows 2008/12 R2, Adobe Flex based Client Viewer Application, REDAS and ENVI

4.    Senior Network Specialist (1 Post for Head Office, Lahore) (Age limit 40-50 years) Pay Rs. 160000/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-19 + project allowance of Rs. 80,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer)

•    Master’s Degree (2nd Division) in IT/ System Network Analysis/ CCNA/ MCITP from a recognized University.

•    8 years experience as network engineer/specialist, basic Windows Troubleshooting skills, Server machines knowledge and experience of installation and configuration and storage management (depends on infrastructure details after analysis phase), knowledge of OS patches, upgrades, administrative tools, upgrade and configure system software that supports GIS infrastructure applications, knowledge of Network and implementation and familiarity with DB installations (MS SQL, Web server IIS management), Data backup, ability to grasp new skills quickly, efficient learner, MS Office, IIS 7.0, MS SQL 2008 and Windows 2008 R2

5.    Senior ASP.NET Developer (2 Posts) (Ago limit 40-60 years)

Pay Rs. 160000/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-19 + project allowance of Rs. 80,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer)

•    Master’s Degree (2nd Division) in Software Engg. From a recognized University.

•    5 years experience including web developer, knowledge of .NET Framework (3.5, 4.0, 4.5), C#, ASP .NET Web Forms and MVCS, Web Services, WCF, LINQ and Dynamic Websites, knowledge of Sen/ice Oriented Architecture, working experience with CSS(3.4), HTML, HTML5, AJAX. JQuery and JavaScript

•    Database Programming with MS SQL Server 2008 R2.2012, T-SQL and SSRS, advanced knowledge of Design Pattern and how they are used in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Programming (OOP)

6.    Junior Water Resources Modeler (1 Post) (Ago limit 28-35 years)

Pay Rs. 66000/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-17 + project allowance of Rs. 40,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer)

•    B.Sc Civil Engg. (2nd Division) from a recognized University.

9.    Data Analyst (1 Post for Head Office PMIU, Lahore)(Max age 25-35 year) Pay Rs.45.500/-(inclusive of all allowances)

•    Master in Computer Science or Bachelor in Computer Science from a recognized university. Fully conversant with DBMs like SQL-Server. Must have 1 year experience of design, development and maintenance of databases using SQL-Server 2005. Should have 1 year experience of maintaining and troubleshooting LAN including Ethernet and Wireless Network Systems. Preferably have knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Analysis of DATA including Spatial Analysis.

10.    Assistant Director Mobile Monitoring Team (3 Posts) (Max age 30 years)

(3 Posts, one for Derajat Circle, one for LCC (East) Circle & one for LCC (West) Circle, Faisalabad

•    B.Sc Civil Engineering from a recognized University. • Preferably have two years’ experience in any Civil Engineering Project. • Should be computer literate and be experienced of using Project Management Software and Microsoft Office. • In case of selection of departmental officer, his appointment will be made by transfer.

•    Persons domiciled in Province of the Punjab are eligible to apply.

11.    Electronic/ Telecommunication Engineer (3 Posts) (Age limit 28-35 years)

Pay Rs. 66000/- (in case of contract employee) or Pay & allowances of BS-17 + project allowance of Rs. 40,000 p.m. (in case of appointment by transfer)

•    B.Sc Electrical Engg. / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering (2nd Division) from a recognized

University.

•    2 years experience in the line and preferred knowledge of IT and Sensor Technology.

12.    Computer Operator (1 Post) (Age limit 20-30 years) Pay Rs. 32000/-

•    Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS) or equivalent

•    2 years experience in the line and preferred knowledge of IT and Sensor Technology.

13.    Technician (6 Posts) (Age limit 20-30 years) Pay Rs. 30000/-

•    3 years diploma of Associate Engineering (2nd Division) from a recognized universities in Electronics/

Electronics Instruments/ Communication.

•    1 year experience of repair & maintenance of electronics equipment.

14.    Monitoring Assistant (2 Posts) (Maximum age 25 years) Pay Rs.18,020/-PM inclusive of all allowances

The above positions at Sr. 1,9,10 & 14 are on contract basis upto June 2016 (extendable) while the positions at Sr. No. 2 to 8, 11 to 13 and 15 to 18 are also on contract basis upto June 2018.
