Punjab Power Development Company Limited (PPDCL), a body corporate of Energy Department, Government of the Punjab established under Company Ordinance, 1984 invites applications from suitable candidates for appointment on contract basis for the following positions. 1. Chief Executive Officer
Qualification: Bachelor degree preferably in eieclncal engineering from a well reputed and a recognized university Those with MBA from Leading Business School or Foreign University or FCA may also apply
Experience: 2 to 3 years in strategic leadership as CEO and at least 20 years of experience in project implementation, tendering, contract award under Government Rules and international donor agencies, preferably in the power sector with understanding of regulatory framework including NEPRA. PPIB, NTDC and issues of licensing and tariff. Good knowledge of risk assessment and corporate governance with ability to interact directly and independently with Government Functionaries will be an added advantage.
2. Chief Operating Officer
Qualification: Bachelor degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a well reputed and recognized university.
Experience: (i) 15 to 20 years of experience in operation of power plants; (ii) 7 years of experience in management of power projects, i.e.. pre-implementation, tendering, contract negotiation, award of contracts and implementation under government regulations and international donor agencies: (iii) Deep understanding of various functions within a company or Government Department; and (iv) Experience of working in regulatory issues
3. Chief Financial Officer
Qualification: FCA or ACMA or equivalent qualification and a member of a recognized professional body.
Experience: (i) 10 to 15 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the power sector in accounting, budgeting, treasury management, development of business plans, contract management and software/ERP applications with strong analytical, report writing and leadership skills: and (ii) Good knowledge of statutory rules and regulations such as PPIB and NEPRA and company laws will be an added advantage.
4. General Manager (HR)
Qualification: Masters’ Degree, preferably in Human Resource from Leading Business School or Foreign University.
Experience: Candidate should possess a minimum experience of 5 years in developing and implementing an organization-wide human resource strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision and its current and long-term business objects, including recruitment; training and development; compensation/remuneration and benefits; performance evaluation; organizational development; employee communication and relations; equal employment /affirmative action; health, safety and employee wellness; human resources administration; human resource information systems; and payroll.
