Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd Job Sindh / Balochistan, Senior General Manager, Chief Risk Officer
Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, a leading Public Sector Utility Company in Pakistan, listed on the Country’s Stock Exchanges, is engaged in the Transmission, Distribution and Sale of Natural Gas in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. The Company has an annual turnover of more than Rs. 153 billion with customer base of around 2.5 million. The Company is at the forefront of adopting technology with leading edge ERP applications, customer information systems, GIS, HRMS etc.
The Company is looking to fill the following Senior Positions with qualified, experienced and dynamic professionals:
Senior General Manager (Management Services):
Qualification: Masters in Business Administration or equivalent degree.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience including 5 years in leadership role. Must have worked in a senior management role in General Administration at a Corporate level.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 52 years.
Key Responsibilities: Formulate and implement policies relating to corporate services including corporate communications, medical, security, staff welfare and customer services. Improve customer response mechanism with the help of technical and technological advancement, resulting directly in improvement of complaint response time. Ensure provision of efficient and adequate logistics support for all the Company operations. Plan, execute and monitor the Company’s image building campaig and respond to queries as the Company’s public spokesperson. Ensure effective delivery of healthcare services to all employees throughout the franchise areas of Sindh and Balochistan.
Chief Internal Auditor:
Qualification: Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of post-membership experience including 5 years’ leadership role in an audit environment.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 48 years.
Key Responsibilities: Assume leadership role of the Internal Audit Department. Plan and implement an effective Internal-audit function in the Company and prepare a comprehensive work plan. Ensure that a thorough and credible internal audit is conducted under the guidelines provided by the Audit Committee of BoD and Code of Corporate Governance. Discuss and resolve audit observations with the respective Departmental Heads, General Managers, Regional Managers and Section In-charges. Monitor the progress of the audit assignments given to the different audit teams and follow-up on audit reports. Recommend quality assurance and effectiveness in operations of the organization. Assist the management in improving the effectiveness of risk management and governance by providing critical analyses, appraisals and recommendations for all areas of operations. Provide analyses and recommendations to the management to ensure adherence to the policies and procedures. Improve the effectiveness of the risk management policies of the Company and recommend ways to improve efficiencies in the Organization.
Chief Risk Officer:
Qualification: Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant or Master’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy from a reputable institution.
Experience: Minimum post qualification experience of 12 years for Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant and 14 years for Masters’ degree holder. Must have 5 years’ experience in Risk Assessment and Control.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 48 years.
Key Responsibilities: Define risk policies, design support procedures and propose strat for risk mitigation. Review and update existing risk management policies and procedures through assessment of risk exposures. Develop risk matrix and risk methodologies to safeguard the Company’s interest. Responsible for the performance of a centralized risk and compliance support function including Operational Risk and Legal and Regularize Compliance achieving goals and targets. Review contracts and agreements, identify the risks and propose corrective measures to avoid risk exposures. Build a risk management team, abreast with quality risk management practices. Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory compliance requirements, anticipating the impact on the Company’s operations, and advising and supporting alignments where appropriate. Monitor compliance of framework that captures and measures the effectiveness of alignment between legislative and regulatory requirement, existing / renewed policies, processes and systems. Provide regulatory advice and support service to line management responding to business needs in respect of alignment to existing and new compliance requirement.
