Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, a leading Public Sector Utility Company in Pakistan, listed on the country’s stock exchanges, is engaged in the Transmission, Distribution and Sale of Natural Gas in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. The Company has an annual turnover of more than Rs. 153 billion with customer base of around 2 million. The Company is at the forefront of adopting technology with leading edge ERP applications, customer information systems, GIS, HRMS etc.
The Company is looking to fill the following senior positions with qualified, experienced and dynamic professionals:

Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) (JC-2001):

Qualification: Masters in Business Administration from reputable national or international institute with major in Human Resources.
Experience: Minimum 12 years Multinational experience will be an added advantage.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 46 years.

Key Responsibilities:
The position requires an HR Generalist who is responsible for:
– All HR-based activities within the organization from both operational and strategic function.
– Lead, design and implement solutions towards optimizing organizational performance and effectiveness.
– Oversee the administration of all HR related matters such as reward and recognition, performance management, recruitment, training and development, etc. resulting in operational efficiency.

Deputy General Manager (Procurement) (JC-2002):

Qualification: MBA in Supply Chain Management.
Experience: Minimum 12 years.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 46 years.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and manage Procurement Department including setting targets and monitoring performance.
– Develop and deliver a Procurement Strategy across the Company to help achieve the target benefits and financial savings, approving each manager’s purchase category strategy and savings plans.
– Engage support and agreement for the strategy from key stakeholders so that implementation and compliance are optimal; promote the effective management of suppliers to sustain value throughout the life of the contract.
– Establish new processes and systems for effective procurement across the Company.
– Provide specialist advice, guidance and service on leading procurement practices.
– Ensure compliance with PPRA Rules and Regulations.
– Lead in identification, assessment and management of potential risks associated with different sourcing strategies; provide insight through the analysis of spend, supply markets and savings.
– Define and manage key supplier relationships to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality, including technical input to negotiations on strategically significant contracts, negotiation and management of third party service providers.
– Produce regular reports on performance and provide comprehensive management information and in-depth analysis when required including spend analysis, savings secured and potential savings for forecast and budgets.

Deputy General Manager (IT-Risk Management) (JC-2003):

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field.
Experience: Minimum 13 years including experience in information security, infrastructure security and IT audit
Age Limit: Should not exceed 46 years.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assess the vulnerability of IT infrastructure and deploying mitigation strategies.
– Ensure protection from internal/external threats.
– Identify process improvements to meet acceptable risk profile, communication and collaboration with teams to get initiatives prioritized and scheduled.
– Review Disaster Recovery Plans and Test Results to meet Business Continuity Plan requirement
– Lead Business Continuity Planning and coordinate with corporate compliance office for testing.
– Coordinate with internal and external resources to perform audits, regulatory compliance check, etc.

Deputy General Manager (Legal Services) (JC-2004):

Qualification: Law Graduate from a reputable national or international institute.
Experience: Minimum 17 years.
Age Limit: Should not exceed 46 years.

Key Responsibilities:
– Advise the Company on a range of legal matters working with internal Legal Department staff and external advisors on corporate litigations/arbitrations/corporate contracts with responsibility to ensure legal compliance and to reduce exposure of the Company.
– Prepare writ petitions, applications, plaints, written statements, rejoinders arbitration claims, attending court proceedings and representation on legal/regulatory forum.
– Assess legal implications of all strategic agreements/contracts.
– Ensure strict conformance with Labour/Industrial Laws, Property Laws, Company Laws, Taxation matters, etc.
– Coordinate with legal advisors.

General Manager (Media Relations) (JC-2005):

Qualification: MBA (Marketing/Media Management) or MPA/MA preferably in Journalism/Mass Communication/Media Sciences.
Experience: Minimum 14 years (MBA) or 20 years (MPA/MA).
Age Limit: Should not exceed 48 years.

Key Responsibilities:
– Design, plan and implement communication strategies and campaigns for the media.
– Effectively communicate with the media on behalf of the organization.
– Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide written responses to media inquiries.
– Plan customer/public awareness strategies and campaigns.
– Promote a positive image of the organization to key stakeholders.
– Ensure effective internal communication.
– Arrange Company’s events wherever required.
– Extend support and expertise to other departments in organizing departmental events.
– Supervise editorial content for in-house magazine and develop presentations.
– Draft speeches for the management.
