Career Opportunities In Taqwa Islamic Banking:

The Bank of Punjab is one of the leading banks with a large network of branches including Islamic Banking Branches across Pakistan. The Bank is looking for High Caliber, Experienced, Self-motivated and Well-groomed Professionals for the following positions in the Head Office as well as in Branches to expand portfolio of Taqwa Islamic Banking:

Branch Managers:
The incumbent will be responsible to manage the overall affairs of the Branch. The candidate should possess Excellent Sales & Marketing Skills and the ability to:
– Strengthen deposit base of the Bank specifically through marketing of Islamic Banking Products.
– Possess good knowledge of Islamic Mode of Financing.
– Have the ability to manage and lead a team in order to achieve Business Targets Effectively & Efficiently.
– Develop a versatile customer base. etc.

Experience and Age:
– Minimum 8 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking Branches including at least 2 years of experience as Branch Manager. Preferably less than 40 years.

Branch Operations Managers:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for Branch Operations. The incumbent should possess strong operational knowledge of Islamic Banking along with acquaintance of:
– Smooth running of branch operations according to operational procedures of the Bank and guidelines provided by SBP.
– Provision of excellent services to our valued customers.

Experience and Age:
– Minimum 5 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking Branches including at least 2 years of experience as Branch Operations Manager. Preferably less than 35 years.

Operations Support Officers (Branch Level):
An ideal incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of Islamic Banking operations and must have ability to:
– Ensure smooth running of assigned tasks according to operational procedures of the Bank and guidelines provided by SBP.
– Provide excellent services to our valued customers.

Experience and Age:
– Minimum 2-5 years of banking experience in Islamic Banking Branches. Preferably less than 30 years.

Operations Support Officers (Head Office Level):
Major responsibilities will involve but, not limited to the following:
– Liaison with other Divisions/Departments of the Bank.
– Maintain Management Information Systems of Islamic Banking Division.
– Provide administrative support to the Division.

Experience and Age:
– Minimum 1 year of banking experience in similar capacity. Preferably less than 30 years.

Marketing Managers:
Suitable candidate must have strong communication skills and will be responsible for:
– Achievement of assigned deposit targets on monthly basis.
– Contribute towards achievement of profit targets on monthly basis by way of soliciting deposits, fee income and advances in liaison with credit marketing team.
– Ensure full compliance with operational risk, management policies and procedures, extending full support to operational staff, adopting problem solving approach to achieve branch’s operational goals.

Experience and Age:
– Minimum 4 years of banking experience in similar capacity. Preferably less than 35 years.

Head Compliance & Training:
Suitable candidate must have leadership skills and will:
– Ensure effective compliance with relevant laws & regulations and policies of the Bank.
– Review of policies, processes & procedures to ensure that:
i. The policies are prepared in line with Bank’s strategies & SBP prudential regulations, guidelines, policy framework circulars issued from time to time.
ii. Procedure manuals are prepared & updated regularly in accordance with regulatory changes, Bank’s business strategy, new products & system enhancements.
iii. Policies & amendments are approved by the Board & SOP’s by the Management.
iv. The policies are reviewed periodically.
– Arrange/Implement compliance test reviews of high risk branches.
– Preparation/Implementation of Annual Compliance Program.
– Training of implemented compliance policies for all employees.

Experience and Age:
– Minimum 10 years of banking experience including at least 2 years of experience in similar capacity. Preferably less than 40 years.

Qualification:
– Qualification for all positions is Minimum graduate, preference will be given to candidates having qualification of MBA or equivalent from HEC recognized Universities and additional certifications in Islamic Banking.
