Faculty & Administrative Staff Required:
The University of Swabi is a Public Sector University, chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The University offers the following Faculty positions & Administrative positions on regular basis / Tenure track system.

A. Faculty Positions:

1- Professor (BS-21):
Qualification / Experience: Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field with 15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.OR10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals
– Professors (BS-21):
Qualification / Experience: Ph.D. degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 15-Years teaching’ research experience in a recognized Institution/College/ University or 15-years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience. QRIO-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in last five years in HEC’PEC recognized journals.

2. Associate Professor (BS-20):
Qualification / Experience: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with 10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization OR 5-years post-PhD teaching’ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals.
– Associate Professors (BS-20):
Qualification / Experience: PhD in the relevant field from Institution recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC with 10-years teaching/ research experience in a recognized Institution/ College/University or 10-years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization out of which 2-ycars must be teaching experience. 0R5-years post PhD teaching’ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
The applicant must have 10 research publications with at least 4 publications In fart S years in HEC’PEC recognized journals.

3. Assistant Professor (TTS):
Qualification / Experience: PhD. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University ‘ Institution.

4. Assistant Professor (BS-19):
Qualification / Experience: Master Degree (foreign) OR M. Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degrees awarded after 18 years of education as determined by HEC in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University ‘ Institution with 4-years teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

5. Lecturers (BS-18):
Qualification / Experience: First Class Master’s Degree OR equivalent degree awarded after 16 Years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.
Condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as lecturer in Universities or Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz. M.Phil /PhD or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in entire academic career.
Furthermore, the candidate with 2nd division in the Master’s Degree but holding higher degree i.e. M. Phil/ PhD or equivalent degree with 18 years of education may be Considered.
‘First division (1st Division) in Master of Arts in English is relaxed in favor of the second division (2nd Division) as the minimum eligibility condition for appointment of Lecturers in English for Annual System degree holders, as per HEC Policy.
– Lecture (Computer Science):
Master’s Degree/ B.Sc.(Engr.) (First Class) in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/ institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.

B. Administrative Positions:

1. Deputy Librarian (BS-18):
Qualification / Experience: Ph.D in Library Science or MS ‘ M.Phil in Library Science or equivalent qualification with 04 years relevant experience in BPS-17 equivalent and above, in a national or international organization. or First Class Master Degree in Library Science with 06 years experience in the relevant field in BPS-17 equivalent and above, in a national or international organization.

2. Assistant Director Administration (BS-17):
Qualification / Experience: First Class Master or equivalent Degree.

Terms & Conditions:
1. The candidates serving in Government, Semi Government or Autonomous Institutions should route their applications through Proper Channel.
2. The candidates having Foreign Degree / Certificate will provide Equivalency Certificate from HEC/IBCC, Islamabad.
3. The selected candidates will be governed by Rules / Regulations/statutes of the University of Swabi.
4. Only short listed/eligible candidates will be called for Test / Interview. University will not be held responsible for none or late receipt of Call Letters for Test / Interview, Website: www.uoswabi.edu.pk.
5. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of position(s) depending upon the needs of its various Sections or not to fill any position.

7. A Bank Draft or online deposit to Account No. 0323-204588555, United Bank Limited, Swabi Branch of Rs.3,000/- for Professors Associate Professor and Rs. 1500/-for BS-18 to BS-19 and Rs. 1000/- for BS-17 in favour of Treasurer, the University of Swabi. Original receipt of Bank Draft/Online Deposit (and one photocopy of the same) with attested photocopies of all DMCs, Degrees’, Certificates, Experience Certificates, CNIC, research papers and one (2) recent passport size photograph must be attached with the Application Form.
8. Professors and Associate Professors are required to deposit Rs. 4500/- for evaluation of research publications/papers in addition to the fee for processing application form and also submit Four (04) sets of publications along with application form.
9. Age limit for Administrative Position at S. No 6 & 7 is Maximum 35 years.
10. CGPA less than 3.00/4.00 will be considered as Second division.
11. Landline telephone, Mobile No. Postal and Email address must be written on the Application Form. Change in mobile numbers must be communicated to this office on urgent basis.
12. All applications must reach to the office of the undersigned through registered mail or courier service, latest by May 20, 2015. Incomplete applications / received after due date will not be accepted.
