EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

U. S. Embassy, Islamabad is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the positions of Engineer (Energy) and Engineer (Mechanical).

Qualifications Required:

Engineer (Energy): Completion of University degree (16 years of education) in Electrical Engineering, professional license in electrical from Pakistan Engineering Council or membership with any International engineering association and minimum of five years of experience is required with a reputable firm in construction field related to the energy management and electrical distribution systems of modem, state-of-the art, technically sophisticated, commercial and/or multi-story buildings. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of power distribution systems, emergency power generator and automatic transfer switches (ATS) operations and building electrical systems and must have the requisite ability and skills to develop and manage work plans and distribute work assignments to facility maintenance personnel in order to plan and manage the conduct of preventative service programs.

Engineer (Mechanical):Completion of University degree (16 years of education) in Mechanical Engineering, professional license in Mechanical from Pakistan Engineering Council or membership with any International engineering association andfive years of Mechanical Engineering design and systems, reviewing project drawings and preventive maintenance including HVAC system is required. In addition, one year of supervisory experience is required. Must have basic knowledge of mechanical materials and methods, knowledge of International design and construction standards and methods and knowledge of local design and construction codes, capabilities, weaknesses and strengths.
