The Organisation: Aga Khun Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS,P), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is a not-for-profit company operating in Pakistan to provide primary and secondary health care to less-privileged populations. Working in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KP), Punjab, Karachi and rural southern Sindh, AKHS, P operates 128 basic health care units mainly Family Health Centres and Maternal and Child Health Centres, together with eight comprehensive health care units in the north of Pakistan. AKIIS, P employs over 1000 medical and professional support staff countrywide. AKHS, P is collaborating as an implementing partner with international donors and the Government of Pakistan through public private partnerships (PPPs) to improve the health of communities. Head of Technical Support Unit & Donor Programme (Based In Islamabad):
– The incumbent will be responsible to strengthen Maternal and Child Health Care, Mental Health, School Health, Early Child Health Development and Nursing Development Programmes in AKHS, P. Further, develop proposal and related documents for mobilising funds from potential Donor in consultation with Regional Management, overall monitoring of project activities, handling internal communications and providing information. S/he will review reports for Donor Funded Projects and will ensure that project interventions are being implemented within approved frameworks and in compliance with donors’ regulations. S/he will be coordinating various researches at AKHSP.
– The candidate should be MBBS / MPH equivalent (PGD – HCSM) with at least 7 years of experience in Project / Programme management / Coordination in health sector.
