Employment Opportunities:
Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) is looking to fill the following positions for its Islamabad office:

Senior Security Officer:
– The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree, professional certification in Security Management and should have a Military services background. Fifteen (15) years’ experience is required; out of which two (2) years should be with a multinational company preferably with E & P Company.He/she should be able to carry out security risk assessments of the areas of operation, investigate security incidents and formally report lo management, develop security procedures and carry out inspections and audits. The incumbent should have relations with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and capable of handling security matters of all areas where KUFPEC has operations or interest within Pakistan in close coordination with LEAs. The person shall be responsible for formalizing processes used to establish security requirements and ensure that adequate security measures are taken, commensurate with the level of security risk to company employees and assets. Fie/she will coordinate with site security personnel during crisis and emergency situations and advise office management on actions taken.Should have excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks,work under tight time constraints and able to perform effectively under stressful conditions.He should be smart to change/divert in response to fluctuating circumstances. Will also participate in field-level planning formulation in the area of logistics and giving advice on logistics considerations. The person will be required to provide technical and operational support on application of logistics management best practice, systems and procedures. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with field staff, office management, LEAs, Contractor security at site and vendors. He should also possess adequate computer skills that include MS Office lo communicate with the management.

Senior Geologist:
– The candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in Senior Geologist with a minimum often (10) years post-qualification experience with E & P Companies. M Phil/ PhD Degree will be considered as an extra qualification and given preference. The candidate should have experience in exploration, development and operation Geology with good understanding of basin analysis; GDF./ Paleogeography maps, play fairway mapping, wire line log data analysis, resource estimation and basic knowledge of static modeling. He/ She should possess sound experience of preparation of work scopes for exploration acreage, preparations of well Drilling programs and final well reports. He/She should have sound knowledge of integration of geological interpretation with seismic interpretation for prospect generation and data room evaluations, including both quick-look and detailed assessments to rank opportunities and acreage. The incumbent should be familiar with using geological, geophysical, petro-physical & engineering data with sound understanding of PC based G&G soft wares and work station applications. Working experience of Indus Basin Pakistan i.e. extensional and compressional tectonics will be preferred.
